Approval Channels in Approval Prompt

Approval Prompt is the easiest way to add human approval to your workflow. When an approval is required, Approval Prompt sends a notification through one of the supported channels. The notification includes:
  • Information about the approval flow, which allows the recipient to distinguish between different approval processes.
  • Information about the specific approval request, including properties that may be helpful when making the approval decision.
  • Approval actions that can be executed by the recipient directly from the notification.

Supported Channels

Approval Prompt currently supports the following channels:
  • Email: when an approval request is received, a notification will be sent to an email address.
  • Slack: when an approval request is received, a notification will be sent to a Slack channel.
  • Desktop Browser: when an approval request is received, a push notification will be sent to a specific browser. The push notification will open a web page that shows the information outlined above.
Receiving channel notifications may require additional authentication: for example, to receive an email notification the approver will need access to the email inbox for the associated email address.
An example email notification is shown below.
